Luchi does not ask you to pick a curriculum, a grade-level track, or a standard code. It starts from the update your child’s teacher already sent you — the newsletter, the homework note, the test announcement — and practices what the class is actually working on this week.
Short practice, not more homework
Every session is about ten minutes, and Luchi decides on the night how to spend them: Luchi checks quickly, then spends the rest of the time where it matters. If the first thing it checks is clearly not there yet, it stops checking and gets to work — there is no quota of topics to walk through. Ten minutes on the right topic beats an hour of worksheets on the wrong one, and it is short enough to survive a school night.
Practice understanding, not just answers
Luchi asks your child to show the same idea a second way, to explain how they know, and to build a problem like the one they just solved. The point is not a higher score on tonight’s questions — it is a child who can say why the answer is right.

Luchi’s session: it starts by checking — one quick question on a topic the teacher named. If your child reads an array as 3 + 5 instead of 3 × 5, Luchi has what it needs and stops checking there; the rest of the session goes to arrays, and then to explaining the same idea another way. If the answers come back clean, it keeps checking. At the end you see what Luchi actually checked, what it changed, and what your child did not have to practice — and it says plainly which topics it never got to.
Questions parents ask
What kind of teacher updates can I upload?
Anything that says what the class is working on: a weekly classroom newsletter, a homework note, a test announcement, a screenshot of the school portal, or a photo of a worksheet cover. If it mentions math topics, Luchi can use it.
Does Luchi replace my child’s school curriculum?
No. Luchi follows your child’s classroom. It adds practice on what the teacher already said is coming up — it does not teach a separate sequence.
How long does each practice session take?
About ten minutes in total. There is no fixed split inside it — Luchi checks quickly, then spends the rest of the time where it matters. Some nights the checking takes one question; some nights it takes three.
Does Luchi give children the answers?
No. Luchi asks your child to show their thinking and to try again, and it tells them when they are right. If they are stuck, it offers a smaller step rather than the answer.
What grades is Luchi for?
Elementary math, roughly grades 2–5. You do not set a grade — Luchi takes the level from the teacher’s update and adjusts to what your child does in the first few questions.
Does Luchi Math cost anything?
No. Luchi Math is free to use — there is nothing to pay, no card to enter, and no account to create. You can upload up to 20 pages per session.
Is my child’s school information stored?
No. The teacher update is used to build tonight’s session and is never written to our database. It lives in your browser tab and is gone when you close it.
